Miss Congenality 2

DUMP
Like all sequels, this one was worst than the first. In the first one, you could tolerate Sandra Bullock in her role as a undercover FBI who needed to look pretty, but this has gone too far. You no longer want to see her act all boyish because she is really looking grotesque.

Lots of catfights and lots of female bonding. Can you get more girly?

Assault on Precinct 13

RENT
A good action movie to watch. Cops and criminals team up to fight dirty cops on a snowy New Year Day. Dark throughout the movie. Die Hard also took place on a snowy Christmas, but it worked much better.

Ethan Hawke is no Bruce Willis, and you are still reminded of his role in Training Day. How can this rookie cop be a hero?

The concept of the movie worked with some shocking moments, but it was mostly predictable. If you want to root for the bad guys, this is the one for you.

House of Fury

DUMP
If you like martial arts, this is the movie for you. Lots of martial arts and lot of broken things. Otherwise, pass on this one. It was so boring to watch. I fast forwarded all the fight scenes and it still suck. The first fight scene was nice, but all the rest were just a waste of time.

It was such a kids movie. Twins hardly have good performances. If you are not a teenage fan, I suggest passing on all their movies.

After reading more about the movie, I realize why this was such a bad production. It was directed by a kid, Stephen Fung. Film companies got to stop rich kids from directing and producting.

Seoul Raiders

If you don't understand Chinese, Japanese, English, and Korean, don't watch this movie. I have no idea why one person will speak 3 languages in one dialogue. It was impossible to follow the story. No one even spoke fluent Cantonese. Does it make sense to have Korean and Taiwanese women speak Cantonese?

This is the bad edition of Charlie Angel. Sexy women who can't act or speak. Many times, I wanted to fast forward this movie. Good music and nice sceneries, but boring fight scenes.

Six Strong Men

RENT
The title of the movie is all wrong, because there are only four main characters. The other two don't count because they hardly had a story attached to them. Throughout the film, you watch a group of men who had tried to commit suicide deal with their life issues. It's not until the end that you realize there could be some point to these stupid issues.

With a cast consisting of Ekin, Hacken, Andy, and Candy, more could have been done with the movie. Does it mean that famous singers can't act?

I leave you with something to think about. If you were hurt in an accident, which one of your friends will rush to the hospital?

* Candy Lo was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for this film*

Three of a Kind

DUMP
If you want to see a weird movie with all different type of emotions, this one is for you. You will see happiness, sadness, fatherly love, lust, and much more. The father is a famous author who is struggling to write a book and to keep his daughter. The guy is a playboy who realizes that he is tired of the chase. The girl is in love with his boss. The scenes are all disconnected and you are randomly thrown pieces of the plot.

It's hard to recommend this movie because I can't say it is funny, sad, or inspirational. It just drags on for two hours and you wish it would end. At the end, you just want to kill the characters because they are so stupid. There is no other word to describe it.

Watching them makes you puke!

Interpreter

RENT
Toward the second half of the film, there were some scenes with suspense, but Sean Penn drowned out the first half. Without Sean, this was a nice drama, where you want to see how the movie ends. I don't know what is about Sean, but he makes movies boring to watch. Mystic River was so hard to watch.

When watching this movie, you would think that it would get really politically involved, but it did not, which made it much easier to understand the plot.

Nicole was great in her role and she needed another costar. She kept the audience guessing until the end, on her true motives. However, the ending was kind of disappointing.
